"The Fund means a lot to me," Corcoran CEO and Broker, Jeff Jackson said. "When you hear the stories about how it's changing these kids' lives, it's just a small thing we can do."
More than 30 golfers teed off on the Gary Player-designed course adjacent to I-684 under clear skies on a brisk autumn day, with the goal of supporting the The Fund and encouraging support from the next generation.
Two recent alumni were on hand to participate and share their stories at the cocktail reception afterward. Justin Hanratty and Alonso Barrantes, a pair of 2023 alumni, shared how The Fund has impacted their journeys and emphasized the importance of paying it forward. Both recently reconnected with the MGACSF and made it a point to become more involved.
"I think it's incumbent upon us to assist them however, whenever we can," MGACSF President and Caddie Scholar alum, Jim Martell said. "If it wasn't for the Caddie Scholarship, I wouldn't be here and most likely would not have been as successful in my business career."
On the course, foursomes competed for the lowest gross and net scores, while everyone competed individually for closest to the pin on the 14th hole and the longest drive on the 5th hole.
Andrew Hite and Zach Csillag won the low gross competition at 5-under, while Aidan and Brian Hicks finished at 9-under to win the low net competition. Michael Weiner came closest to the pin, and Emilio Parodi came out on top in the Callaway long-drive competition.
