ELMSFORD, N.Y. – The Metropolitan Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund has received a generous gift from one of its newer alums.

Justin Hanratty, who recently reconnected with The Fund after coming across its LinkedIn page, has committed a $100,000 Legacy Donation through his employer, Eveready Financial to support future generations of MGACSF recipients.

"I chose to support the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund because it played a significant role in shaping both my personal and professional life," Hanratty said. "Many of the habits that have helped me succeed professionally today were first developed on the golf course, including work ethic, accountability, attention to detail, and relationship-building. These were lessons that weren’t and couldn’t be taught in a classroom."

Hanratty presented The Fund with a check at this year's Friends of The Fund outing, where he thanked the organization for continuing to have an impact on his life.

"What makes the MGA Foundation so special is that its impact doesn't end when a scholarship is awarded," he added. "For me, this gift represents a full-circle moment. I was once a scholarship recipient who benefited from the generosity of others, and now I have the opportunity to help create those same opportunities for future generations of caddies and scholars."

The Fund extends its deepest gratitude to Justin for his generosity and is grateful to have him in the MGACSF family.
