Season Preview: WGACSF Events For 2021 Season
With the long winter behind us and the snow fully melted, anticipation for the 2021 golf season is at an all-time high. Last year, despite the difficulties presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the golf world was able to flourish. This season, golfers are once again optimistic the sport will prove to be an escape and are looking forward to a great season ahead in the Met Area. As is the case every season, the Westchester Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund (WGACSF) has a full slate of exciting events to look forward to.
Your support of these events directly impacts the CSF’s mission of supporting hundreds of deserving young men and women every year. Below, we will look at all the events on the calendar, which courses you can look forward to playing and how you can get involved in all these great events. (Some events have not been scheduled yet, please check our events page regularly for updates).
Note: Registration for both the Pro-Am and Alumni Reunion will open April 15th. Registration for the Friends of Fund Best-Ball will open July 1st.
CSF 40th Annual Caddie Scholarship Pro-Am: 7/8/21

46th Annual Alumni Reunion & Golf Outing: 7/12/21
The Saint Andrew’s Club will play host to this great event, which is in its 46th year. This outing serves as a special day where the CSF can unite alumni through a common, life-long bond. Every year, current and former caddie scholars play. For every attendee, a donation to the CSF is made.
6th Annual Friends of the Fund: 9/23/21
The Friends of the Fund returns to the WGACSF calendar for 2021 at the stunning Hudson National Golf Club. The Friends of the Fund Best-Ball is a great way for those who have given to the CSF to get out and enjoy a round together. The event primarily consists of a shotgun start, with prizes and gifts awarded in the evening. Less than a month prior to the Friends of the Fund, Hudson National will test the Met Area’s top professionals and amateurs in the 106th Met Open Championship.
Christopher Hickey Golf Invitational: Date TBA
The Christopher Hickey Golf Invitational started back in 2016. Created by WGA Caddie Scholar Fund board member, Greg Hickey, the special event pays tribute to his late twin brother, Chris.
WGACSF Golf Marathon: Date TBA
From CSF Alumni, members of clubs in the Metro Area and local caddie managers, the Marathon is fun for all. Participants play from dawn until dusk, trying to complete as many holes as possible. Money is raised through the amount of holes played, with people pledging a dollar amount per hole for their selected golfer. In recent years the event has raised over $100,000 for the WGACSF.
