37th Annual Pro Am Returns to Century
Purchase, N.Y. (June 19, 2018) – Century Country Club hosted the 37th Annual Caddie Scholarship Fund Pro Am, a special tradition to the program’s operation. Proceeds from this event directly fund the need-based college scholarships awarded annually to an average of 290 young men and women who work in service to golf in the Westchester area.
Participants represented clubs from Westchester, Connecticut, Long Island and traveled from as far as upstate New York, Kentucky, and Texas. Thirty five professionals accompanied each respective group that played in the morning and afternoon rounds.
Team Wykagyl (Kent St. Charles) took home the morning team low gross, followed by Team Scarsdale and Team Sunningdale (Chris Toulson) which ties were determined by a blind draw. The morning team low net winners were a team representing Ardsley Country Club (Christi Dorece)/CC of Fairfield/Patterson Club, Team Wykagyl (Patrick Schwarze), and Team Tamarack (Ted Kimmel), respectively. The low professionals for the morning shotgun were Chris Toulson, Sunningdale Country Club (71); Gary Murphy, Innis Arden Golf Club (71); medalist Tyler Gosselin, Scarsdale Golf Club (69).
The afternoon team low gross was awarded to Team Old Oaks (Bobby Heins), followed by representatives from Westchester Country Club (Brian Fallon)/Winged Foot/Rye. Third place was awarded to Team Apawamis (Brandon Holden). Afternoon team low net winners were determined based on a blind draw: Team Tamarack (Ryan Kalista) and Team Knollwood (Bob Miller, Jr.)/Nardiello brothers. Third place team low net was Team Hudson National (Chris Cavanagh). A four-way tie (73) for afternoon low professional included Bobby Heins, Old Oaks Country Club; Brandon Holden, The Apawamis Club; Ryan Kalista, Tamarack Country Club; Craig Thomas, Metropolis Country Club.
The Fund was proud to welcome back Titleist as the sponsor of the team prizes for the morning and afternoon rounds.
