Corcoran Centric & Corcoran Legends Realty sponsored the event for the first time this year.
Brocker and owner Jeff Jackson said, “It is important for us to be involved with our community and give back. We are so fortunate to be able to give something back; it is our calling. As a former student in Westchester, I caddied the last two years of college at Century Country Club. I went to Manhattanville, and one of the things I did was walk across the bridge and caddie, and that was very helpful in my personal quest for an education.”
The mission of the event is to introduce the younger cohort to the caddie scholarship fund. The event is an excellent way for those who have given to the CSF to get out and enjoy a round together.
“It is one of the unique events that we do, in that it is an invitational, which is structured in a way for new individuals to find out what the CSF is about,” said MGACSF President Jim Martell. “I am very much into mentoring. This is one aspect of me mentoring a younger member at my club and getting him or her introduced to our vision of what a CSF applicant and scholar is all about.”
The 34 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day by the river to benefit the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund. The participants competed in a net and a gross competition, as well as a long-drive and a closest-to-the-pin contest.
There were competitions for Low Net and Low Gross among the 34 golfers. Dan Hanwacker and Chris Siverstein won the Low Gross competition at 1-under par. Bill Collins and Mike Beck Jr. took home top honors in the Low Net at 6-under par. James Ng won closest to the pin on No. 14 with a shot that stopped 1’7” from the pin. Anthony Barone won the long drive on the par 5 15th.
The MGACSF also thanks the Deutsch Family for their continued support of the event.
