Editor's note: This summer, Caddie Scholar Josh Retblatt is interning with the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund. He will be posting blog entries throughout the summer chronicling his experiences before heading back to school in the fall.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 31, 2025) - As I reach the midpoint of my internship, I’ve started to see the bigger picture of how my efforts contribute to the program’s long-term success. Assuring the timely and organized distribution of bag tags to donors has been one of my key tasks. While this may seem like a small task on the surface, I quickly realized how essential it is to donor relations—it’s a simple gesture that reinforces our appreciation for their support. I took pride in making sure every detail was handled with care.

I’ve also worked to promote the Alumni Reunion that was held on July 22 at Ardsley Country Club (see what I did there) by reaching out directly to alums. This outreach has helped spark interest and excitement, and it’s been rewarding to engage with individuals who have strong ties to the program. Through email communication and personal messages, I’ve practiced crafting messages that are both informative and personal—skills I know will be helpful beyond this summer.

In addition to my work with event planning and outreach, I’ve also been involved in efforts to better our social media presence, particularly on Instagram and LinkedIn. I’ve brainstormed and scheduled posts that highlight milestones, spotlight community members, and keep our followers engaged. The goal has been to grow our audience and keep the community connected, and it’s been fun to experiment with different content types and observe what resonates best.

This internship is continuing to teach me how to manage multiple priorities while staying focused on both short-term execution and long-term relationship-building. I’m excited to keep pushing forward and contribute to a strong finish to the summer.
