Among those who on hand was Joe Pica, a longtime supporter of The Fund. His son, Alex, was a caddie scholar recipient in 2019 and he overseas outside ops at Rockrimmon Country Club, giving this fundraiser extra meaning to him.
Pica added, "It has just become a passion," Pica said. "Just helping these kids and seeing the good that it does, how could you not? The fact that what we can do here is the largest one-day fundraiser is beyond [me]."
Also playing was Caddie Manager at Ardsley Country Club, Rob Bucci, who was introduced to The Fund and quickly fell in love with the mission.
"It has been one of the more worthwhile things I do," Bucci said while getting a little emotional. "A lot of people don't realize, you hire a kid to caddie and a lot of times it's his first job and you leave an impression."
For the second straight year, Caddie Scholar alums Nicholas Bonanno and Ryan Schelling were on-site and played on Team Tuxedo alongside Jay Mottola.
