**Darien, CT (October 1, 2018) –** The Country Club of Darien hosted the 3rd Annual Christopher C. Hickey Golf Invitational on Monday October 1, 2018.  Started back in 2016 by WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund board member Greg Hickey, the CCH Invitational serves as a very special event paying tribute to his twin brother Chris.  Proceeds from this tournament directly benefit the Caddie Scholarship Fund and the [Christopher C. Hickey Named Scholarship](https://www.caddiescholarship.org/scholarships/named-christopher-hickey/) in particular, from which six caddie scholars currently receive increased scholarship assistance.

Current recipients include:

**Peter Moriarty**  
SUNY Buffalo

**Daniel Moriarty**  
SUNY Binghamton

**Ajani Bowie**  
Florida A & M University

**Brendan Ferguson**  
Georgetown University

**Griffin Northrop**  
University of Connecticut

**Cooper Healy**  
University of Wisconsin

For the third straight year this outing had an incredible turnout from friends and family; more than 120 golfers competed in the tournament and all who attended helped raise money for a great cause.  A robust display of silent auction items and raffle prizes, as well as dedicated generosity from attendees helped the Fund surpass last year’s fundraising efforts with gross contributions of nearly $150,000!

Team Low Gross and CCH Plaque Winners included Pat Mullin, Tom Richardson, Jeff Mellick, and Mark Thompson with a score of 60.  Team Low Net Winners included Mike Niedermeier, Dan Mara, Mark Hibbert, and James Dunning with a score of 53.
